Why the NBR quotes the yen per 100 units
The NBR publishes the Japanese yen with a multiplier of 100, so the official figure is the price of 100 yen. This converter uses the value of a single yen, which lets you type the exact amount, for example 25,000 JPY.
For card payments in Japan or online purchases priced in yen, check whether your bank converts straight into lei or routes the amount through euro or dollars. Each conversion step can add its own spread.
