Viaconto is promoted as a fast option, but a useful decision starts with the legal form of the product.
The lender is IFN VIACONTO MINICREDIT S.A., and the reviewed product is a reusable credit line. Speed and the maximum limit do not prove suitability.
We checked the product page and available public documents on 2026-10-21. Numeric costs are shown with the catalogue's last verification date.
The personal offer, SECCI sheet and signed agreement take priority if values change.
Short answer
It can be considered for a small need when repayment is already provided for in the budget. A long contractual term does not make carrying the balance inexpensive.
Product being compared
The published range is 700–5,000 lei, and the product is a reusable credit line. The relevant period is an agreement of up to five years. Approved limit, amount drawn and balance due are separate figures; charges follow the mechanism in the agreement.
How the Viaconto credit line works
Viaconto is the brand of IFN VIACONTO MINICREDIT S.A., entered in the NBR General Register under no. RG PJR-41-110321/26.01.2017 and in the Special Register under no. RS PJR 41 110108/18.05.2018. The product is not a fixed-instalment loan but a credit line for personal needs, with amounts between 700 and 5,000 lei. After approval a line with a 5-year term is opened, and interest is charged only on the amount drawn from the approved limit.
The official calculator caps a first loan at 1,000 RON; an existing customer can reach 4,000 RON.
The official example, cost by cost
The representative example in the Viaconto calculator, checked on 21 October 2026, uses a 1,000 lei line drawn in full immediately at 1% interest per day. The APR (DAE) is 803.5%, and the total payable after 12 months is 2,000.00 lei. The first three published minimum payments are 250.00 lei, 342.00 lei and 315.88 lei, so the monthly amount is not an equal instalment. The minimum payment is made up of 5% of principal and the 1% daily interest, but cannot be below 55.00 lei.
The SECCI form generated by the site for 1,000 lei shows a file assessment fee of 0 lei and no administration fee. The same form, however, shows an APR (DAE) of 806.85%, not 803.5%. Compare the figure in the SECCI you receive for your own application.
Eligibility and documents
The application page requires residence in Romania, age between 20 and 70, a demonstrable monthly income, no active debts, a valid bank account with an active linked card, and internet banking. According to the FAQ, income can also be a pension or unemployment benefit.
Required documents are an identity card, scanned or photographed, and a bank statement covering one to three months. The card is validated by authorising a 0.10 lei transaction.
After approval: transfer and repayment
The decision arrives by SMS a few minutes after the application, but only during business hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 to 17:00. With card payout the money arrives instantly. If you choose a bank account at a bank that does not work with Viaconto, the transfer can take 24 to 48 hours.
The monthly due date is the 20th of each month. You can pay in full or the minimum amount (accrued interest plus 5% of the amount used, at least 55 lei); if you do not pay in full, the card is debited automatically with the minimum. As long as you have no arrears, you can make new draws up to the line limit.
Late payment and early repayment
For early repayment, the repayment page says you pay the amount borrowed and the interest accrued up to that point. The SECCI adds that compensation may be charged as permitted by law, and the exact amount is communicated within at most two working days of a request sent by email.
Late payment costs penalty interest of 1% per day on overdue principal from the day after the due date. If the amount used, interest and fees are not paid within 30 days of the due date, the lender may treat the agreement as terminated.
Legal protection
Law 243/2024 caps total costs for certain Romanian NBFI consumer loans. The ceiling is protection, not a recommended price. Exact application depends on amount and contract; use the documents and official channels in a dispute.
Editorial verdict
It can be considered for a small need when repayment is already provided for in the budget. A long contractual term does not make carrying the balance inexpensive. Compare fast loans and personal loans first. Kreditano may earn a commission after a tracked click; this does not change the contract cost.
Choosing the amount
Start with the actual expense rather than the 700–5,000 lei limit. A larger limit can encourage repeated drawings. Request only the shortfall that cannot be covered another way and retain enough money for ordinary expenses during repayment.
Budget test
Write down net income, essential spending and every instalment up to the closure date. Deduct the Viaconto payment before treating money as available for other purchases. If the result is negative or depends on another loan, the scenario is not sustainable.
Complaints and data correction
Begin with a written complaint to IFN VIACONTO MINICREDIT S.A., including the agreement number and relevant documents. Ask for a response and detailed calculation. If unresolved, keep the file for the appropriate legal channel; a public review does not replace a documented complaint.
Common checks before signing
Compare the SECCI form with the screen you applied on: amount, term, APR and total should match. Convert the daily interest into lei for your balance, send documents only through the lender's official domain and, after the last payment, ask for written confirmation of a zero balance. The steps are explained in the SECCI guide.
For Viaconto I read the minimum payment separately from the remaining balance. A displayed monthly payment does not prove that principal falls at the same pace.
